Congratulations on your position as a youth representative! On this page, we have gathered some tips and tricks for you who want to become even better at recruiting your colleagues and organizing meetings and courses for the young members at work.
The youth representative has an extra responsibility to create offerings for young members in the workplace, as well as to be a voice for the young within the local NTL board. This can be done in as many different ways as there are NTL workplaces, and you do not need to know everything about NTL or collective bargaining policy to succeed. We have gathered some clever tips and tricks in a handbook for youth representatives.
To gain power behind our demands and strength in the fight for a fair working life, we need more people on our team. That is where organizing (recruitment) comes in. Our strength and credibility, as well as our excellent union representatives, will always be the best argument for gaining more members. However, social activities, professional development, and free pizza also help. In the handbook, you will find good arguments for joining, and NTL Ung centrally is happy to hold courses on member benefits at your workplace.
