NTL stands at the forefront of the LO unions in the climate cause; we are Eco-Lighthouse certified, and we are actively involved in the Climate Election Alliance and the Bridge to the Future conference. NTL was also central during the Climate Roar in 2019.
The Bridge to the Future is one of the major annual events for the environmental movement in Norway. In 2026, the conference was held on February 24th at Sentralen, and the 2027 version is currently being planned. The conference will be streamed.
More info about The Bridge to the Future.
The goal of the conference is to bring together the trade union movement, the environmental movement, agricultural organizations, researchers, and faith communities to collectively lay the foundation for a just transition to a green economy!
NTL is proud to be Eco-Lighthouse certified. This scheme provides us with smart tools so that we can work holistically, systematically, and long-term with our measures. This will improve NTL's environmental performance, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to a green future.

In NTL's climate guide for union representatives, you will find tips on how you can actively work for the climate cause as part of your work as a union representative. In areas such as transport, procurement, and buildings, there is much you can do, and perhaps you can get the organization Eco-Lighthouse certified!
The Climate Roar was a nationwide roar with its epicenter in front of the Storting in Oslo on August 30, 2019. The goal was to increase climate engagement among the population and give politicians the courage to take necessary measures so that we reach the 1.5-degree target. Watch NTL leader Kjersti Barsok's appeal during the countdown to the Climate Roar!
The Climate Roar's demand is that politicians take measures so that we can limit global warming to 1.5 degrees – in line with the Paris Agreement. For politicians to dare to make necessary, but tough and unpopular decisions, they must know that they have the people behind them.
